Our college - PHCET - offers a range of programs to choose from in both Engineering and Technology streams all the way from undergraduate level to doctoral level. Innovation is a key word at PHCET in both teaching and research. As such, our teaching methodologie follow the famous concept based learning and project based learning. In order to foster innovation, PHCET has a club known as the "Wangdu Club". Students of any year and any degree can be a wangdu. Wangdus normally work in teams that span across years and across degrees. As an exmple: students of ME and BE work on projects together. So as students of PhD, ME and BE. All that it needs a fire in the belly to be a wangdu. PHCET boasts of quite a few wangdus.

Dr. Chelpa Lingam Profile
Dr. Chelpa Lingam possesses BE Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Bangalore University and both M.Tech. from IIT Bombay and Ph.D., from IIT Delhi, in Systems Engineering. He has around 30 years of experience. He had been with the IT Industry for about 10 years prior to joining the education profession. His research areas include Fuzzy Logic, Reality Mining, Soft Computing and Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Lingam has published in renouned journals and conferences. He is also a Certified Emotional Intelligence Trainer.
Dr. Lingam obtained and nurtured important tie-ups with the National Centre for Software Technology [NCST] and the Centre for Development for Advanced Computing [C-DAC], both wings of Department of Electronics, Government of India. He Managed and led both domestic and offshore software projects. Dr. Lingam consulted for major organizations like Cochin Refineries Ltd., Madras Refineries Ltd., First Data Resources, Deloitte and Touche, etc. He participated in important delegations to Carnegie Melon University, JP Morgan, etc. He was an off campus faculty for the MS Program of the Illinois Institute of Technology, USA.
Dr. Lingam was the Project Director for the collaborative Research Project titled "Intelligent Health Monitoring System for Electrically Operated Point Machines" along with the Konkan Railway Corporation. He is a founding member of the Higher Education Forum, a senior member of International Association of Computer and Information Technology (IACSIT) and a life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education.
