||Dr. Shrikant Charhate received ABP News National Education Award 2017 for Best Professor in Civil Engineering held at Taj Lands End, Mumbai on Thursday 6th July, 2017.
posses B.E. degree in Civil Engineering from Govt. College of Engineering, Amravati and M.E. in Civil Engineering from SPCE, Andheri, Mumbai. He has obtained Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. His research areas include applications of artificial intelligence, especially applications of artificial neural networks, genetic programming and model trees to water resources and ocean engineering problems.
Dr. Charhate is a recipient of prestigious 7th Sir Visvesvaraya Construction Excellence Award
. He has more than 25 years of experience in the field of academics, administration and research at Senior level. He was Associate Vice President for CORE Education and Technologies Ltd., Mumbai and involved in setting up of an educational institutions. He was associated with BIT (Ranchi) offshore campus at Ras Al Khaima, UAE.
Dr. Charhate has more than 50 publications at International and National Journals and Conferences. He has presented his research work in Canada, China, New Zealand, U.S.A., Singapore, South Korea
and chaired many technical sessions in India and abroad in various symposiums / workshops / conferences and short term training programmes. He is a member of research and recognition committee for Pune University. He is a reviewer of International journals and also a member of steering committee for various national and international conferences.
