Computer Engineering provides the opportunity to work in the continuously changing technology sector. With the development of faster hardware components, new communication systems and software there is a demand for computer Engineers. Computer Engineering students study the design of digital hardware and software systems. Computer Engineering encompasses a wide range of topics including operating systems, computer architecture, computer networks, robotics, artificial intelligence and computer-aided design. An important area within computing engineering is the development of embedded system devices such as cell phones, digital audio players, digital video recorders, alarm systems, x-ray machines and laser surgical tools, all require integration of hardware and embedded software and are all the result of computer engineering.
Software engineering companies, telecommunications firms, designers of digital hardware and many other business enterprises hire Computer Engineers right out of college and pay them well.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

  1. To develop expertise with top-notch logical and analytical skills in different programming paradigm, good debugging skill and ability to work with advanced tools and techniques.
  2. To provide students with vast amount of technical knowledge in core domains of algorithm design, data structures, databases management, networking and able to combine them to provide concrete solutions for real life problems.
  3. To inculcate in students the ability to gain multidisciplinary knowledge through projects and industrial training, providing a sustainable competitive edge in R&D and meeting industry needs.

  1. Apply knowledge of mathematical foundations, algorithmic principles and computer science theory in the modelling and design of computer based systems.
  2. Perform requirement gathering, design and implementation for software by analyzing and interpreting data using modern tools.
  3. Solve real time problems by providing automated solution in various fields like finance, industry, agriculture and medical.
  4. Apply logic by conducting various experiments in programming and evaluate efficiency of the code at different levels, to reduce memory as well as time.
