Day wise report with lectures and case studies is as follows:

Day 1: The course started with formal inauguration ceremony by Dr. Pratibha Sharma, IIT Bombay, Dr. Chelpa Lingam, Principal, PHCET, Dr. Srikant Charhate, Dean, PHCET, Mr. Amar Mange, Principal, PHP, Dr. M. D. Nadar, HOD Mechanical Department, PHCET.

Welcome address & purpose of STTP was addressed by Mr. Kadam S. N., Mechanical Department, PHCET. Dr. Chelpa Lingam & Dr. Srikant Charhate also motivated with importance of training program.

The faculties from IIT Bombay and PHCET, Rasayani delivered lectures on the following topics, Hydrogen as an alternative fuel and characterization of solid state hydrogen storage materials. Dr. Pratibha Sharma talked about general scenario of hydrogen energy and challenges associated with hydrogen production, storage, safety and transportation. The talk ended with applications of hydrogen as energy carrier to regulate renewable energy sources; Afternoon session delivered by Mr. Amol Kamble on characterization of solid state hydrogen storage materials. He explained material characterization techniques like X-ray diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) and hydrogen absorption characterization using Seivert’s apparatus with help of two case studies.

Day 2: On second day, session started by lecture of Prof. Asokan S. on Introduction to photovoltaic technology. In this section, he delivered about current scenario of photovoltaic technology across globe and opportunities about renewable energy sources in India. In afternoon session, he provided hands on training on Load Calculation for Home & Designing of off grid Solar Plant.

Day 3: The morning session was started by Dr. K. N. Patil, K. J. Somaiya, Mumbai. He delivered lectures on the Case Studies for Industrial Processes Heating and Product Development. He discussed real life case studies on which he worked as a consultant such as Solar heating system at Mahananda Dairy Mumbai, Solar system at Shopping mall at Nagpur etc. Second session was conducted by Dr. Shinde D. K., VJTI, Mumbai. He has given insight on applications of Nanotechnology in Renewable Energy Sources and how products are developed using Nanotechnology.

Day 4: On fourth day, morning session started by lecture of Dr. Joshi Sandeep on Renewable Energy: Energy Forever. In this section, he explained energy scenario of India and world. In afternoon session, he explained case study of product development on Novel solar drier from scratch.

Day 5: The morning session was started by Dr. Mehul Rawal IMC Mumbai. He delivered lectures on Introduction to solar PV technology. He has given insight about solar photovoltaic technology. In afternoon session, he awared about Overview of Solar Energy Scenario in World & India. He also taught Case-Study of a 623 Kwp PV Plant with Single - Axis Tracking.

Day 6: The morning of the sixth day is enriched by Dr. Manvendra Vashishtha with deep knowledge about synthesis of thin layer of alloys for quick hydrogenation. He also explained about practical approach for preparation of thin layers of alloys and measurement of hydrogenation behaviour in it. After the lunch a valedictory function was arranged. Participants shared their feedback for last five days about STTP. Mr. Vijay Dhadke I/C HOD Automobile Department express the vote of thanks and program concluded.
